Bead «Prayer of the Optina Elders».

The first sentence of the Prayer of the Optina Elders for the beginning of the day is placed on the small precious bead. It is customary to read this prayer every day together with the morning rule. Lord, grant me to meet with peace of soul all that this day will bring me. Lord, grant me to surrender fully to Thy holy will. Lord, for every hour of this day, in everything guide and support me. Lord, reveal Thy will to me for myself and for those around me. Lord, whatever news I may receive during the day, grant me to accept it with a calm soul and firm conviction that in everything is Thy holy will. Lord, Great and Merciful, in all my deeds and words guide my thoughts and feelings, and in all unforeseen circumstances do not let me forget that everything is sent by Thee. Lord, grant me to act wisely with each of my neighbors, grieving no one and troubling no one. Lord, grant me the strength to bear the fatigue of this day and all the events in its course. Direct my will and teach me to pray and to love everyone without hypocrisy. Amen.
